Disrespect?
When did it become acceptable, regardless of political affiliation to be disrespectful to a sitting President of the United States of America?
Am I the only one who notices this trend in all forms of media? Jokes and banter are one thing, and yes I'm all for free speech, however, what is up with all the openly disrespectful speech?
Regardless of your vote or affiliation the man IS the President, and deserving of respect. He has quite possibly the most difficult and stressful job in the entire world.
And he is the PRESIDENT for Christ's sake.

Very good question and one that should be being asked by the media. Back then FDR was president, most of the public had no idea that he was wheelchair bound because the media respected his political position and did not shows photos of him being helped while walking or of him in his wheelchair. Of course his wheelchair looked like a chair, but some ass could have snapped a few pictures of the wheels or of him being helped into or out of it, but no. Out of respect, they did not. The media was wise enough then to realize that the general American public needs to see thier leader as some one strong and capable. At least according to The History Channel.
I'm leaving Matt. In a week and a half.
